Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin, $37.50
Bloody Shiraz Gin is made by steeping shiraz grapes in gin for eight weeks. And like a bottle of Yarra Valley shiraz, this gin will develop with time, meaning the color and flavor will change. Drink it young and fresh with red berry and spice character, or enjoy over time as it develops fruit cake and dried fruit tones.
Four Pillars crafts this gin using a technique similar to what the French call 'saignee', or bleeding. Thus 'Bloody Shiraz'.
