My Lemon Hart Will Go On... NEW ARRIVALS
Rum aficionados and tiki fans take hart, the whole gang is back in town! After disappearing not once, but twice, Lemon Hart & Sons has returned to the U.S., rounding out the legendary Overproof 151 with an 80 Proof Original 1804 and the all-naturally spice infused Blackpool.

Made in Guyana, the line is much beloved for making black rum (rum with molasses and or caramel added post-distillation) from Demerara Distillers rich and fruity signature distillate, adding silky heft to a cocktail with a 1 oz pour. Take a stab at tiki hartistry by mixing up a Zombie, Don the Beachcomber’s max two-per-customer original.

Zombie (adapted by Smuggler’s Cove)
  • ¾ oz fresh lime juice
  • ¼ oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • ¼ oz cinnamon syrup (BG Reynolds)
  • 1 tsp grenadine syrup (Small Hand Foods)
  • ½ oz falernum liqueur (Bitter Truth)
  • 1 ½ oz blended aged rum (El Dorado 8 Year)
  • 1 ½ oz column still aged rum (Angostura 7 Year)
  • 1 oz black blended overproof rum (Lemon Hart 151)
  • 2 dashes Herbstura (equal parts Herbsaint and Angostura Bitters)
  • Combine all ingredients in a shaking tin with 12 ounces of crushed ice and 4 to 6 "agitator" cubes. Flash blend and open pour with gated finish into a Zombie glass. Garnish with a mint sprig and healthy dose of trepidation.
