Rabbit Hole Heigold High Rye Bourbon

$59.50
Rabbit Hole's High Rye Bourbon, made with imported German rye, pays tribute to Christian Heigold, a immigrant stonecutter from Germany who settled in Louisville, and went on to carve ornate symbols of patriotism for his new country on the facade of his landmark home. This bourbon is composed of 25% malted rye, for a distinct twist on a timeless recipe, for a flavor like no other. Aged in #3 char new American Oak Barrels, barreled at 110 proof, bottled at 95 proof.

Notes of chocolate chip cookie, malt ball, black pepper, and wet oak give the nose a welcome complexity. Top notes of bright citrus and caramel candies. The malt component adds savory muscle and a creaminess to the body. The mid-palate sees more spice cabinet and wood shop notes, all melding into a lengthy, gently sweet finish that lingers with notes of tangerine, butterscotch pudding, and new leather.
