Appleton Estate Signature Jamaican Rum
In continuous operation since 1749, Appleton Estate is the refined, experienced older woman of the Jamaican Rum scene. Their entry level bottling is a blend of 15 different pot and column still rums, aged for an average of 4 years in Jamaica's tropical heat, before being bottled with no added flavorings or sweeteners (as with all Appleton Rums).
The blend shows an intense nose of ripe banana, stewed fruit, and baking spices precedes a balanced and dry palate. Black tea dominates the flavor profile with hints of banana, orange peel, dried apricot and a toasted, nutty finish.
