Elijah Craig Barrel Proof remains one of the bourbon world's great deals, offering aged stated, full proof, classically robust Kentucky bourbon at a relatively affordable price. Retaining the 12 year age statement that the regular small batch bottling used to have, this is truly mature whiskey, well oaked and rounded. The A121 batch is bottled at 61.8% abv. The bourbon opens with an oaky nose, with leather, graham cracker, and caramel. On the palate, it's all about sweet spice and oak, with toffee, cocoa, brown sugar, tobacco, black pepper, and toasted marshmallow.
