Founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, Macallan is one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland. Located in the Speyside, it is known to select only the finest cut during distillation, ensuring its signature mouth-feel and fruity aroma and flavor. The complexity and richness of this mythical, highly sought-after Single Malt is displayed with great class in this breathtaking bottling. With a smoothness that evokes a great dessert wine, its aroma and palate shine through with rich character. The finish is remarkable: complex and rich with exotic accents.
On the nose - candied lemon, curry, chestnut, iris and lily flower, vanilla bean. The palate follows with ginger, quince, almond, tobacco, cinnamon bark, white grape, and fresh pineapple. On the finish you'll find chocolate, coffee, black tea, guava, banana, pineapple, verbena, and coriander seed. Aged solely in an ex-bourbon cask and bottled in a 700 ml bottle at a cask strength of 46.8% abv.
