Knob Creek Rye is certainly no secret, having garnered lots of attention and accolades since its introduction, beloved for its balance of super spicy and herbal rye character with rich corn sweetness, all with a perfect balance of oak influence, letting the grain shine but never coming off as young. But like many ryes, it is often reduced to a mixer simply because it shines so well in a cocktail. But this can live rent free in our decanter any day. Smells like spiced banana-walnut bread, tastes fantastically creamy with vanilla sizzled up with orange oil, rye seed, cracked pepper, and cayenne.
