Del Maguey Wild Tepextate Mezcal

Tepextate offers a lighter body with a bright candied fruit nose of banana taffy and spun sugar. The sweetness carries into the palate with notes of passion fruit and marzipan. A light cinnamon note of canela lies in the background with floral notes of honeysuckle.
Crafted in the village of Santa Maria Albarradas by Palenquero Martinez Cruz. The Tepextate agave was is between 18-25 years old, and was roasted for 15 days with oak before being milled by horse, fermented for 5-7 days, and distilled on a 350 L copper still.
