Destillare Intense Café Coffee Liqueur
For this unique take on coffee liqueur, Louisville's Copper and Kings take their bourbon barrel aged grape brandy and blend it with certified fair trade cold brew coffee from Arabica coffee beans. They then infuse the blend with Madagascar vanilla beans, cardamom, and coffee beans before letting it all marry in the barrel. For the proofing, they dilute the spirit using more cold brew coffee before infusing honey for sweetness. The result is a nose of intense dark roasted coffee. It is opulent and coffee forward, with rich vanilla, natural floral aromas, and citrusy spicy cardamom. On the palate, you'll find layers of complex coffee roastiness. Very smooth, slightly dry without bitter astringency. Lightly earthy, with balanced sweetness from honey. Bottled at 45% abv.
