High n’ Wicked, based in Jackson, Wyoming, was formed by Altamar Brands to present and develop unique whiskies – releasing singular limited expressions that it deems worthy of its name. The follow up to their first release is HNW No. 2, The Wild Rover, a triple distilled Single Malt Irish Whiskey, double-cask matured in Ex-Bourbon Barrels, followed by Ex-Pedro Jimenez Sherry Casks, bottled at 58.7% ABV (cask strength) with no chill filtration.
On the nose there is heather honey, walnut, and a hint of fudge, with a light earthy barley character in the background. On the palate, the sherried influence of figs and dried fruits comes through, with subtle honey-nut sweetness and citrus oils, especially orange.
