Nelson's Classic Straight Bourbon
Formerly known as Belle Meade Bourbon, this whiskey was renamed after the Nelson Bros. re-opened their family's Green Brier distillery in Tennessee, and began distilling their own whiskey under their name. Thus, the same sourced whiskey that made up Belle Meade was renamed to fit into that family of whiskies.
On the nose you'll find spice cake, cherry, milk chocolate, vanilla, and baked apple. The palate follows with banana bread, cocoa, cherry, and dried pineapple, leading to a finish of black pepper, spearmint, lemon peel, and sweet tobacco. A classic rye forward bourbon, bottled at 46.65% abv.
