Ron Cihuatán 12 Year Reserva Especial Rum
Created at the Licorera Cihuatán, a subsidiary of Ingenio La Cabaña of El Salvador. Ingenio La Cabaña is a century old sugar cane mill that produces the molasses used in all Ron Cihuatán products. The rum is aged in used American oak bourbon barrels using a solera method. Sipping the rum delivers a sweet caramelized vanilla forward flavor that is grounded by wood tannins and dark cocoa. Soft cherry notes show briefly with caramelized orange, brown sugar, red apple, and light sweetness before the rum fades into a lingering dry finish.
