Ume is made in California from all-natural plums, grapes, & black cherries, with hints of green apple and lemon. According to the producer, it "dances on the tongue, buoys the soul, and transports the spirit with its luminescent purple hue". That's a heck of a claim, but it is certainly tasty, fruity, and full of whimsy. Bottled at 17% with about half of the sugar of similar aperitifs.
