The 2025 release of Bomberger's Declaration from Michter's Distillery is matured in Chinquapin Oak barrels made with staves that have been "seasoned" (air-dried outdoors) for between 18 months and five years (industry standard is about six months), then bottled at 108 proof. The extra seasoning combined with unique wood produce a beautiful, rich bourbon featuring flavors of rich vanilla, brown sugar, cherry, gingerbread, marshmallow, tobacco, and oak.
