Only the second rye whiskey to ever carry the Booker's name, this Reserve bottling is truly something special. It aged for just over 6 years mostly in new oak before being finished in barrels that had previously held Apple Brandy. Autumnal perfection. On the nose, apple strudel greets you immediately, followed by butterscotch, cherry, wilted mint, and a hint of barrel char. The palate brings more apple, like a fresh baked apple pie with allspice and cinnamon supporting the orchard fruit. This is a rare and delectable rye. Bottled at 125.1 proof.
