This is vintage, well aged, spice forward Willett. Nicknamed Hail Mary, this barrel (#9091) was bottled at cask strength, 53.1% abv, after aging for 11 years. The Willett Distillery has a history going back to the 19th Century. They eventually became an independent bottler and blender and produced numerous brands including Old Bardstown, Pure Kentucky, Noah's Mill and others. They reopened their family distillery in 2012 and now produce the spirits for most of their brands.
