This exceptional cask of Willett Family Estate Rye was aged for 7 years before bottling without chill filtration at a cask strength of 113.8 proof. Nicknamed "Freaks of the Industry," this rye delivers the brightness we love from Willett's 4 year rye with the added depth and balance that longer maturation brings. Aromas of herbal tea, citrus peel, caramel, mint, and cocoa lead to a lovely palate featuring lemon oil, mint, caramel, rye spice, cinnamon, clove, and a touch of dried fruit. The finish shows the extra age of this barrel with rye and baking spice giving way to cocoa, oak, and a bit of tobacco. Only 149 bottles came from this wonderful rye cask.
