Glenmorangie 18 Year "Infinita" Single Malt Scotch

Recently revamped (and significantly improved, in our opinion), Glenmorangie's 18 year Infinita is initially matured for 15 years in ex-bourbon casks before finishing for three years in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. The finished whisky is then bottled at 43% abv. The nose is fruity and sweet with notes of apple, candied orange, lemon merengue, raisin, and toasted oak. On the palate, fruit again stars with flavors of peach, mandarin orange, apples and honey, golden raisin, and lemon balanced with a bit of pepper, oak, and a touch of smoke. The fruit, honey, and wispy smoke linger through a nice long finish.
