Siembra Alteno Anejo Tequila
With six generations of agave farming and three generations of Tequila distilling in the Highlands of Jalisco, the Camarena family is a pillar of Tequila tradition. La Alteña is the birthplace of acclaimed brands like El Tesoro de Don Felipe, Tapatio, and Tequila Ocho (now made at Destilería Los Alambiques). This partnership is a rare meeting of deep heritage, uncompromising quality, and true Tequila excellence.
Extended maturation transforms highland agave's natural sweetness into something extraordinary. Siembra Alteno Añejo spends 18 months in oak, allowing the spirit to develop remarkable complexity while preserving the distinctive character of Los Altos agave.
The tequila displays a rich amber color with golden highlights, reflecting its extended time in oak. The nose is luxurious and inviting, cooked agave sweetness intertwines with vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, dried fruit, and warm baking spices including cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, it delivers remarkable depth and elegance. Sweet agave remains prominent, butterscotch and honey are supported by layers of oak-derived flavors: vanilla cream, toffee, dark chocolate, and hints of dried apricot. The texture is silky and full-bodied, coating the palate with waves of integrated flavor. The finish is long, smooth, and warming, with lingering notes of sweet agave, toasted oak, baking spices, and a subtle peppery tingle that reminds you this is tequila.
