Meikle Toir "The Turbo" 2025 Edition Single Malt Scotch

Guided by revered Master Distiller, Billy Walker, this new line of whisky is on a ‘Meikle Tòir’ (‘big pursuit’). The goal: To carefully craft and cask-perfect a peerless peated single malt at the Speyside based GlenAllachie Distillery.

Being independent allows for complete freedom to make decisions for all the right reasons, and to firmly place the focus on quality over quantity. In 2018, GlenAllachie began producing peated spirit – a much rarer style for the Speyside region – for several weeks each year. They only produce around 100,000 litres of new-make spirit annually to create these premium small-batch releases. 

"The Turbo" doesn't hold back. Expect waves of maritime brine, medicinal peat, charred wood, and sweet smoke, balanced by underlying notes of vanilla, citrus, and malt sweetness. The result is a whisky that's both heavily peated and remarkably drinkable—raw power with sophistication.

Each annual release of "The Turbo" offers a unique expression within the Meikle Toir range, showcasing different cask selections, phenol levels, or maturation experiments. The 2025 Edition continues this tradition of innovation while maintaining the core identity that peat lovers crave: bold, smoky, and utterly uncompromising.
