Angel’s Envy Rye is a 6-7 year old 95% rye/5% malted barley mashbill that is then further aged for up to 18 months in Caribbean Rum Casks that served as Cognac Casks before that. It’s blended twice in batches of 8 to 12 barrels, first blended and put into the rum casks then blended again for bottling after the finish aging to maintain consistency.
The mingling of raw, spicy and earthy rye with the mellow sweetness of rum finishing creates in an incomparably drinkable rye, even at 100 proof. The nose has notes of citrus, caramel candy, maple sugar, vanilla oak, hazelnut, spice, and sherry wood with a sweet rum sherry flavor. Finish is sweet and long, with maple and molasses.

Great rye whiskey with good notes of rum
Something about the combination of rye spice and rum barrel sweetness makes this a fascinating bottle, and much more interesting than the bourbon.
Sweet, but perfect for a night by the fire with some s’mores
Have been told about the rum barreled rye and it is true you get coconut notes and the rye is mellow. Well worth the wait for the access to a bottle, thanks Team BB!
This is rye that is approachable by many. It happens to be one the family favorites neat or in a Manhattan.
It is perfect, neat!
This bottle is just pure joy, it brings me great happiness. Great sweetness from the rum barrel, great finish and nice rye spice notes linger. These guys just really make their product well. This is a buy, and repeat for me...beautiful bottle as well. Just like it neat, but that is just me.
