Baker's 7 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

Although this is a great tasting long finish single barrel with reminiscence of a Russell reserve profile ,by nomeans dies it warrant a aprice point equal to willett 4yr.. when it returns to the $52 price point it's a buy all day long.

Liked bakers old bottling but this is good as well. Easily available and reasonably priced.

I sought out some Bakers because I liked the spot it filled in the Beam small batch lineup based on my tastes. This is a single barrel, aged at least 7 years (often more), and is bottled at a sturdy but not crazy 107 proof. It has deep, rich flavors of molasses, baking spice and nuts and is highly enjoyable. The only Beam product I like more than this is the **** Creek 12. I much prefer this Bakers 7 to the much more hyped Bookers, which I find to be way too hot to be enjoyable. Give this one a shot.

Great single barrel option for the price. Fits in well with the Beam family. Will definitely purchase a second bottle and explore the variations.

Bakers 7 year really offers a WOW with flavor character that you can even add ice and not water down.
There is some heat to the nose and I contribute to the barrel and not the proof.
The mix of caramel and pepper that lingers and in a smooth juice too.

Nose - Caramel and vanilla and the Beam nuttiness

Palate - medium mouthfeel with sweet oak then pronounced peanut you get from Beam products, a little heat with a salted char finish

This is good, but not at this price point. **** creek single barrel is less and much better, or save up $20 and get Bookers which is much more rich, complex, and delicious.

Bakers is always lost in the Beam upper shelf profile and they still don't know what to do with this stuff.

Have been wanting this for awhile since I saw it in Whiskey Advocate and could not find it until B B came thru for me...This is amazing for the price point, would buy again.
