A small batch bourbon distilled by James Beam, Basil Hayden’s is made from a mash bill of 63% corn, 27% rye, and 10% malted barley. Bottled at 80 proof, Basil Hayden’s offers a smoother, more subtle bourbon experience than many of its sibling products at Beam. A light, fruity scent greets the nose with undertones of citrus, pepper, and oak. Sweet vanilla mingles with fruit on the palate before the finish leaves notes of oak and light fruit. Overall a light, easy sipper.
