Creole equals flavorful. With fruit scents of dried apricots, cherries and cranberries mingling with anise, smoked paprika and hints of smoking pine wood. On the first taste comes cayenne and pink pepper corns supported by anise, big red cinnamon, dusky caraway and fennel seed. Add this to a French 75, or for that matter, any drink that could do with perking up!

JR R. Tim Schmock from Smoky’s Club in Madison, WI, invented the “Cre-ole Fashion” and uses The Bitter Truth Creole Bitters, so I’m using it when I try to pour his drink at home. Some of The Best bitters I’ve ever had. They’re pricey on that one big website but if you buy a couple bottles here, you save about 12 bucks! (At least I did—YMMV....)
