Distilled for Bulleit by an undisclosed Kentucky distillery, Bulleit 10 Year Bourbon has a mash bill of 68% corn, 28% rye, and 4% malted barley and is bottled at 91.2 proof. The relatively high rye mash bill announces itself on the nose with spicy notes of peppercorn, cinnamon, and clove meshing with sweet maple and brown sugar. The palate closely follows the nose, bringing bold flavors of cinnamon, clove, and allspice that blend well with sweeter notes of brown sugar and vanilla. The age of the whiskey comes through on a finish loaded with oak and tobacco and touches of maple and sweet custard.
