Cadenhead Enigma 1998 25 Year Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Though many of the details of this blend are unspecified, we do know that the whisky was all distilled in 1998, fully matured in refill sherry casks, and bottled without chill filtration or added color at 82.8 proof.  The nose opens with rich wood, chocolate fudge, and orange peel backed by old leather and dried fruit.  The palate begins with rich, dark caramel and chocolate and transitions toward dried fruits and cinnamon.  The finish features honey sweetness over drying oak and oxidized, nutty sherry.
