Dates to around 1867, is simultaneously amongst the bitterest and sweetest of vermouths. A rare example of a vermouth amaro or vermouth con bitter, a style of vermouth with extra bitters added. Enjoy on the rocks with an orange peel.

I really enjoy a number of traditional Vermouths di Torino, and Punt e Mes isn't going to change that, but it really adds variety, interest, and a twist to a number of cocktails -- like Negonis, Boulevardiers, and Manhattans -- when it's switched in. It's also a key ingredient in a delicious Red Hook. I can only have one red vermouth open in the fridge at a time but find Punt e Mes suits anything that calls for sweet vermouth.
Love this vermouth all on its own.
This vermouth is excellent! Its strong chocolate, orange, and berry flavors make it perfect to sip chilled as a dessert. I like to have an ounce with a hot brownie and scoop of vanilla ice cream. Or you can add it to cocktails as a quasi-substitution for sweet vermouth. Similar to carpano antica, I wouldn't stick it just anywhere. Punt e Mes will add depth and richness but not too much sweetness, so I think it pairs best with already-sweet bourbons or dark rums. Other sweet vermouths I have on hand are Cocchi di Torino, which does add quite a bit of sweetness and earthy flavors, and Martini e Rossi, which is much thinner and arctic in flavor.
For experimenters, I think Punt e Mes really shines when paired with a sweeter, but still bitter amaro, like the amaro equatorial or bruto americano. The best I've hit on so far is 2oz Tanqueray no. 10 (very fatty gin), 0.75oz punt e mes, 0.5oz "zamaro" amaro (pretty sugar-y), 0.25oz new deal coffee liqueur (crazy sugar-y). Coffee, dark chocolate, and dirt. My favorite!
Hi all! Thanks so much for your wonderful service and great selection. I placed an online order last week and last minute NEEDED to add Punt e Mes because I learned of a new recipe. It’s London chef, Fergus Henderson’s, preferred Negroni specs: 50% Tanqueray 30% Punt e mes 20% Campari. It’s so delicious. Didn’t know my favorite cocktail could be better. Please try it! Will be placing another order soon because we are BREEZING through our bottle.
