Cimarron Blanco Tequila

Good every day tequila. Nice agave nose. Smooth, makes a fine margarita.

This is just great. It's smooth enough to sip neat and cheap enough to experiment with, and it has a whole lot of character. I'm not sure there's a better value for highlands 100% agave tequila. And getting a whole liter is quite nice.

I'm generally a gin person, but I like to play around with substituting tequila in my favorite recipes (Martinez, last word, bijou), and Cimarron does great. It has a really nice, clean, vegetal tequila character, without being too smoky or rich. It also has the nice quality of being inexpensive without tasting cheap. I think this is likely to become my go-to tequila for mixing.
