EH Taylor Small Batch Bottled in Bond Bourbon

Colonel EH Taylor was a man we owe a great deal to in regard to keeping Whiskey honest. The 1879 Bottled in Bond Act was sponsored by Taylor. To keep bourbon pure. This Small batch bourbon is a whiskey drinkers whiskey. Caramel, cherry, vanilla and oak are prominent, subtle orange blossom and butterscotch are also fantastic flavor notes. This is one of my favorite bottles. And should be one of yours too.

For MSRP, all around great bourbon. Balanced and sippable. It might not be earth shattering, but it is really, really good.

Great bourbon for the price

If you can snag a bottle of this at this price you should do it. This is one bottle I have never seen at this price anywhere else and would be my go to daily drinker if it was readily available. EH Taylor BiB Small Batch all day everyday.

This has become one of my highest end bottles I have purchased it locally for almost double what I paid with BB. So to get this good of a bottle for BBs price you can’t beat it!
I did get such a good price because I belong to one of the clubs. It’s a no brained to belong. They pick stuff tell you what they are sending. Then you get access to great priced bottle like this EHT. What are you doing still reading my review go sign up for a club and then buy this bottle! Go on now…get!

The best bourbon I’ve had the opportunity to try!

Solid sipper if you can find it at MSRP and can make a good cocktail as well.

Nose: Fairly muted, ethanol present to a small degree, subtle earthiness/mint, maybe a subtle red fruit. Overall, not exactly much... some caramel/vanilla came out after drinking most of the glass.

Palate: Medium viscosity, decent mouthfeel, has a nice oak structure/transition from bitter to creamy, there is a subtle cherry, dark chocolate. some bitterness on the beginning of the palate and end. The palate can be all over the place, sometimes I take a sip and it taste like a cherry cordial, other times I get a decent mouthfull of bitterness

Finish: kind of all over the place. Some sips are all bitter on the finish, others have some oak lingering, others finish more on the cherry side.

Big EHT fan. Hard to find but worth the effort. Prefer neat or on the rocks. Great price too

This is my go to whiskey when I can find it! It’s complex and smooth. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a great Bottled in Bond whiskey without breaking the bank.

This is a solid bourbon but I’d definitely go with John J Bowman single barrel as it’s better. B and B has a solid price on these though, happy with the bottle

The EH Taylor small batch bottled in bond bourbon gets a lot of rave reviews on whiskey websites. While it is certainly a solid pour, the mouthfeel is rather light, and the aromas and flavors are that of a young whiskey. A little bit of oak, but mostly a raw grain flavor that I don’t gravitate toward.

This hard to find Bourbon did not disappoint.

This is an amazing Bourbon, so amazing you shouldn't buy it because that means more for me. Its balanced caramel vanilla flavors open up with a large cube or spill of water. I wish this Bourbon was more readily available so it could be a daily drinker - because its worth every penny if you can find it.

This is one of my personal favorites… between the price and the tastes I don’t think there is another bottle on the market that does it better.

Best over ice, really brings out the flavors.

My dad turned me on to this bourbon a few months back, but I have had a very challenging time finding a place that carries it locally. I found one place and they were charging three times the price! Glad to find this available for purchase online!

E. H. Taylor is a truly unique whiskey. I love the flavor profile, it almost defies the mash bill. Usual corn sweetness and oakened alcohol heat typical of most bourbon whiskey take a step back. While present they strike an excellent balance with a peppered brine. Finish is long and spicy. When I visit family and my oldest and best friends, a bottle of E. H. Taylor small batch is my favorite present.

This is a stellar bourbon and well worth the price. At 100 proof, it is smooth and has a great finish with notes of vanilla, caramel and spice.

Hands down for the $ this is a great drinking whiskey 🥃 straight up or my house pour is a high ball made with fresh soda water
Or my lady enjoys it with a bit of earl grey tea

Nice on the nose and better on the palate. Great bang for your buck bourbon.
