Distilled from a mash bill of 51% rye, 35% corn, and 14% malted barley, Batch A126 of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Rye was aged for at least 11 years and 11 months before bottling without dilution of chill filtration at 120.4 proof. The nose offers robust scents of honey, caramel, vanilla custard, mint, and cinnamon with mature oak lurking underneath. The palate is rich and flavorful with notes of creme brulee, vanilla, cinnamon rolls, black cherry, burnt orange peel, nutmeg, and pepper. On the lengthy finish, rich oak, cocoa, and sweet caramel flavors  linger.
