Product details
This aperitif starts with New York spirit made from dent corn from the Finger Lakes, from which Matchbook's gin is made. Then, a shocking amount of fresh blood oranges from California are trucked in, cut in half, and then placed in the gin. Left to macerate for weeks, the liquid slowly takes on a delightful ruby tone and unmistakable bittersweet zing. After straining and pressing, the liquid is rested on precious herbs and spices from Rare Tea Cellar. Cassia, pink peppercorns, cloud forest cardamom, gentian, Indian cinnamon bark & wild cherry bark, pairing perfectly with the juicy rich notes of blood orange and peel. The result is a rich and complex aperitif that drinks well on it's own or as a particularly full and complex ingredient in cocktails that call for a weightier citrus liqueur. Bottled at 30% abv.

J
Jeremy S. Very nice orange flavor, but bitter. I recommend it if you want a bitter amaro with a strong orange profile.
