Product details
Based on a 19th century recipe, this is a traditional French “triple sec” – three separate distillations of spices and the “sec” or bitter, peels of Curacao oranges blended with Cognac. The result is a rich, complex and balanced liqueur that will bring new sophistication to your cocktails, working well as a sweetener for bitter-edged spirits and darker, biting spirits like rye. Its vanilla sweetness is tempered by a wash of bitter orange. The scent is rich and agave-like, with a touch of mezcal-like funkiness.
Try it in classic cocktails where a triple sec is called for and wonder how you ever got by with grocery store triple sec - it drives your Sidecar, moves your Mai Tai, and deepens your Margarita. Its slightly vanilla-tinged sweetness is tempered by a wash of bitter orange. The scent is rich and agave-like, with a touch of mezcal-like funkiness.
- Best orange liqueur ever. Perfect in a Mai Tai. Dry with excellent orange flavors, not too sweet.
- My favorite orange liqueur. I love the flavor and balance.
- Balances citrus perfectly and compliments the flavors of rum, tequila, and mezcal.

This is my favorite orange liqueur. I love the flavor and balance. Great in cocktails like Mia Tai's and Margaritas.
Add this to your old fashion cocktail for a refreshing change.
Great mai tai ingredient following the Smugglers Cove mai tai recipe:
3/4 fresh lime juice
1/4 ounce SC Mai Tai Rich Simple Syrup
1/4 orgeat syrup
1/2 ounce pierre ferrand dry curacao
2 ounces blended aged rum
This is my go-to for curacao. Perfect balance for an original 1944 Mai Tai.
* 1 oz fresh lime juice
* 1/2 oz dry curacao
* 1/4 oz orgeat
* 1.4 oz simple syrup
* 2 oz Denizen Merchant's Reserve
A key ingredient for the perfect Mai Tai
This wonderful in a Margarita
I purchased this mainly for tiki drinks and to play around with the recipes in Smuggler's Cove. I enjoy margaritas as well, but have preferred to pass on triple sec/Grand Marnier/Cointreau - until now! This orange liqueur is the only one I need (or want). It isn't syrupy, abrasive, or horrendously bitter like other orange liqueurs, but balances citrus perfectly and compliments the flavors of rum, tequila, and mezcal.
Best curaçao ever. Perfect in a Mai Tia. It is dry with excellent orange flavors, but not too sweet.
This is my go-to orange liqueur for my home bar! It's not too sweet and plays well with rum, whiskey, and gin.
