Four Roses Small Batch Select Bourbon

Very good daily sipper, four roses should be a staple in everyone’s shelf. Small batch select is my favorite between single barrel.

This is a great high proof bottle. It has a lot of spice and a great flavor profile. It makes an amazing old fashioned. Don’t sleep on it.

I should buy more four roses

I have quite a few bourbons at this point, some regular, some allocated, etc. However, I keep coming back to this for the complexity and smoothness each time. I definitely recommend spending a little more for this one.

Nose: my nose is kind of clogged so I am getting right now sweetness comparable to honey/green apple and a little bit of oak. There is something else but I can't determine what it is.

Palate: creamy oak. Man the oak is amazing in this bottle, it progresses nicely from start to finish. When I first opened and tried this bottle I got floral notes either palate/nose but I am not getting anymore of that. There is a tad bit of something at the beginning that I can't determine what it is, maybe some rye spice. I guess the texture/creamy mouth feel would be comparable to oak + caramel/sugar. This bottle is really reminding me of my review on B519 where I got this coffee half n half like texture.

Finish: pretty long, flavor lingers for a long time. not thin in my opinion. Doesn't dry your mouth out, so decently wet.

This is a very tasty bourbon that's a great value. Definitely worth buying. One of the staples in my collection.

it is perhaps my favorite four roses bourbon at the moment. easily confused with their regular small batch offering cuz the bottle is the same shape. make no mistake this is a competelu different animal. easy to drink as it’s only a little over 100 proof. good balanced bourbon esp for price point

Bitters Bottles description of Four Roses Small Batch Select Bourbon was spot on. It made the most amazingly balanced, rich and delicious old fashioned I've ever had. Absolutely spectacular.

Quite different from the usual Four Roses style, which is more medium-bodied and easy drinking. This one is bolder and fuller bodied. Great for sipping, but killer in a cocktail—really brings out other flavors.

This is something really special from Four Roses and to top it off it is absolutely priced right. Love to drink this over an ice cube to let it open up....
