German Gin Flight

Set includes: The Illusionist Dry Gin (700 ml), Bitter Truth Pink Gin (750 ml), Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin (750 ml)

Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin hailing from Saarland in the west of the country and using a recipe of more 30 botanicals. It's a collaboration between a distiller and a winemaker, and along with the botanicals the gin is also mixed with semi-sweet Riesling. The result is a complex spirit with a definite sense of place.

The Illusionist Dry Gin This dry gin comes to us from the Glockenbach district of Munich and is a skillful blend of 16 botanicals including the striking butterfly pea which imparts a fabulous intense violet color to the gin straight out of the bottle and a beautiful pink hue when mixed with tonic. 

The Bitter Truth Pink Gin is an apt product from a company as well known for bitters as The Bitter Truth. The team even makes their own aromatic bitters which is “Unsurpassed in complexity of flavor, spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, anise and clove come through strong.” Citrus predominantly on the nose. Lemon and grapefruit leap out of the glass. As it sits though, these floral notes give way to a spicy lower layer. Lemongrass, cinnamon and brown sugared crumb cake among them.
