Glenfiddich 12 Year Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch

Originally a travel retail exclusive but now available in Florida and California only, Glenfiddich's 12 Year Sherry Cask Single Malt is fully matured in a combination of American and European ex-sherry casks before finishing in Amontillado sherry casks and bottling at 86 proof.  The nose features citrus and sweet cereal with raisin, nougat, and graham cracker.  On the palate, flavors of sweet citrus, almond, and sugary cereal are complimented by a relatively light touch of oxidized sherry.  The sherry flavors linger through a finish that adds some dry oak balance against the sweet notes.
