Gran Dovejo High Proof Blanco Tequila

Tequila Gran Dovejo Blanco High Proof, as the name suggests, is the high proof (98 proof) version of the brand's blanco tequila. Located in the Los Altos (Highlands) of Jalisco, Gran Dovejo produces only single-estate tequilas. The agave plants are grown by a fifth-generation agave grower. The piñas, or hearts of agave, are harvested by hand and then roasted in clay ovens for 36 hours. The piñas are then shredded, the juices extracted and fermented and then double distilled in copper alembic stills. It is bottled immediately after distillation.

Aromas of cooked agave, herbal notes, and earthy mineral tones. The palate has tons of creamy, sweet cooked agave with butter, vanilla, nutty undertones, and some pepper, cinnamon, and baking spices. A perfect balance of spice and sweetness, with a full-flavored oily mouthfeel. The long finish concludes with a dash of minerality.
