Made in San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca by Miguel Martinez, this artisanal expression is roasted with mesquite & oak, milled by Tahona, fermented in cypress wood & twice distilled in a copper pot still. This Espadin leans into the savory side of mezcal with robust mouthfeel accented by crisp characteristics of minerality and river rocks. Hint of white pepper flashes and savory mesquite in the finish. At 50% ABV it layers into cocktails without losing character. Complex enough for sipping and pairs well with pineapple.
