Heaven Hill Grain to Glass 6 Year Chinquapin Oak Bourbon

This Limited Edition Specialty Barrel release from Heaven Hill's Grain to Glass line uses Chinquapin Oak barrels for maturation. Distilled from a mash of 52% corn*, 35% rye, and 13% malted barley, the whiskey was aged for seven years before bottling without chill filtration at 105 proof. On the nose, sweet oak is supported by aromas of vanilla, pecan, sweet red fruit, and baking spice. The palate brings flavors of leather, tobacco, rich oak, honey buns, berries, and a touch of spice. The finish is medium length with big oak flavor along with peppercorn, honey, and peanut brittle.
