Heaven Hill Grain to Glass 6 Year Chinquapin Oak Rye

This Limited Edition Specialty Barrel release from Heaven Hill's Grain to Glass line uses Chinquapin Oak barrels for maturation. Distilled from a mash of 63% rye, 24% corn*, and 13% malted barley, this Grain to Glass Rye was aged for seven years before bottling without chill filtration at 105 proof. The nose opens with grassy rye spice backed by vanilla and green herbs. On the palate, baking spices and green herbs join with rich oak and earthy leather. The finish has rye spice, earthy oak, and some sweet vanilla custard.
