Heaven Hill Grain to Glass 6 Year Rye
Aged for six years and bottled without chill filtration at a cask strength of 123.2 proof, Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Rye was distilled from a mash of 63% rye, 24% corn, and 13% malted barley. The nose offers scents of earth, pine needles, grass, and mint supported by chocolate and oak. On the palate, flavors of fresh mint and pine start the sip before sweeter notes of caramel and butterscotch. The sweetness lingers through the finish where it is joined by clove, cinnamon, and tobacco.
Heaven Hill's Grain to Glass series features unique corn seed varietals and different mash bills from their standard releases. The first seed varietal used is Beck's Hybrids #6158, selected for its higher than typical starch content and affinity for central Kentucky growing conditions.
