Jack Daniel's Barrel Proof Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey

Sharing very little in common with its well-known 80 proof cousin, this big, bold, flavorful whiskey is a great barrel proof sipper.  Though individual barrels may vary, these tend to have lush noses full of bananas, caramel, vanilla, and baking spice.  Likewise the palate tends to be big and sweet with ripe fruits, caramel, maple syrup, and milk chocolate.  Sweet fruits linger as the high proof point drives a long finish.  Proof point varies by barrel but these tend to be around 130.  The Lincoln County filtration process for Tennessee whiskey takes much of the bite out of these barrels despite the high proof, making for a sweet, flavorful sip.
