Product details
Jack Daniel’s Bonded is a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey, which must be distilled by a single distiller during a single distillation season, matured in a government bonded warehouse for at least four years, and bottled at 100 proof. Barrels are hand-selected for their characteristics of deeper color, flavor, and aroma, which deliver a darker, richer, and more oak-forward character. It’s a big, bold Tennessee Whiskey at 100 proof.
On the nose, there is caramel, rich oak, and spice. The palate opens with sweet dark brown sugar, cooked fruits, and seared oak, finishing on notes of warm baking spices and a hint of smoke.

I was excited to see that JD came out with a bonded bourbon. I've enjoyed Old No. 7 for years. It's not the best, and certainly not in the same league as Buffalo Trace for affordable bourbons, but it never disappoints. I decided that I'd do a sip test of my new purchase with Old Grandad Bonded in one glass, and Jack Bonded in another. The general flavor was similar, but the Jack was so sweet, I had to dilute it with melted ice before I could really enjoy it. If you like a sweet brown liquor, give it a try. But if sweet doesn't fit your palette, then enjoy something else.
