San Francisco born and raised, Junipero Gin was one of the first craft gins around when it debuted in 1998. This local hero is made by hand from more than a dozen botanicals. With its high proof, high flavor, and high intensity, Junipero is a bold gin. As its distiller, Hotaling and Co., says, it's "the kind [of gin] that gives your mouth a firm handshake." With a name like Junipero you know juniper is going to drive the flavor profile. Accordingly, it features a light, juniper-rich piney fragrance and a pungent, earthy flavor, with loads of anise and a good wallop of alcohol.

I guess now that Anchor is owned by Sapporo they’re changing the branding to appeal more to children and vodka drinkers. But that doesn’t change the fact that this is a great gin.
Although i gotta say i much prefer the original bottle and label.
