Product details
Sweet citrus fruit with hints of ginger, flowers and spices, supported by cinchona bark and bitter roots. Adds refreshing fruit flavors and crisp bitterness to a variety of cocktails. Pairs with bourbon, gin, mezcal, and in all manner of spirit forward drinks. Top with sparkling wine or club soda for a low abv spritz, perhaps with a squeeze of fresh lime or lemon. Mix 50/50 with your favorite spirit for a deliciously easy cocktail.
- Clean floral, fruity, bright and tart. Yet not syrupy.
- This amaro is so wildly versatile that it surprised me, a lot.
- The flavor is lighter than the more syrupy amari we've had. It's lovely!

A lovely amaro. It's bitter, like an amaro should be, but it's balanced with a little citrus and a little floral.
We make a drink we call The Dark Side...4 oz. rye whiskey, 2 oz. gentian, dash angostura, dash orange bitters...Stir with ice then strain into coupe glass and garnish with a brandied cherry. It's a crowd pleaser.
This is an Amaro that I always have in the house. Great with a single ice cube or even better in a Negroni. I’m also disappointed when it’s out of stock.
Lo-Fi Gentian is described as an amaro (or after-dinner digestivo) -and it is - but I’d also consider it a before dinner aperitif. The flavor is lighter than the more syrupy amari we’ve had. As previous reviewers have said, this gorgeously-colored amaro would be great as a spritz base or added to many standard cocktail as something extra. I loved it as an addition to a Negroni and Boulevardier. It’s lovely!
Amazing stuff, I've added it to so many cocktails instead of vermouth.
It's made me realize how much I dislike the odd oaky flavor of wormwood in all vermouth.
This is clean floral, fruity, bright and tart. Yet not syrupy.
This makes a great staple to your home bar. It adds depth to whiskey based cocktails, but pairs nicely with tequila or mezcal. You can stir up a classic Black Manhattan with this amaro. Last, you can't deny it's remarkable color.
This amaro is so wildly versatile that it surprised me, a lot. If you're looking for a new staple amaro for your home bar, this should be your first pick.
I get a lot of rose-y notes in the opening that quickly transform into herbaceous, floral, stone fruit notes, all wrapped up in a beautifully syrupy texture - not to mention the gorgeous color.
Again, this amaro is super versatile: so much so that it acts similarly to a liqueur as opposed to a true amaro. This makes an awesome americano, a beautiful Negroni (swap out the Campari for this), a black Manhattan, our a spritz. Obviously, this is also amazing on the rocks with lime.
Give it a shot! At $22 for 735ml, this is a steal.
Nice and refreshing! Mixed is with a little bit of club soda and a orange slice. Make a great summer cocktail!
This my favorite aperitif!! Very different than traditional Italian amaro (which I really enjoy the different kinds). This is more refreshing with lighter citrus like grapefruit but still has the bitter to keep it complex
2 oz Empress Gin
1 oz Cointreau
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz Lo Fi Gentian Amaro
Served up with a slice of lime
Wish I could send you a picture - Fuschia colored, not too sweet, not too sour
I love this bottle. It’s floral, complex and uniquely flavored.
Joe taught us that this Lo-Fi Gentian Amaro with any base spirit (in equal parts) and a squeeze of citrus (and maybe some fizzy water) is the perfect, easy, tasty cocktail. He was right. It never disappoints. Tequila, Mezcal, Gin, Rum, Vodka, it just works every time. Plus it looks fancy which makes it taste so much better.
Sip straight or try it in a Paloma or Amaro Sour! The hibiscus is a really nice touch giving it a floral quality and the gentian root & chinchona bark adds bitterness but it's certainly not as bitter as most classic italian amaros. It's great to see all the ingredients listed right on the bottle, too!
