Myrtle Bank 10 Year 120 Proof Jamaica Rum

I was a bit hesitant to spend $100 on a bottle of Rum but I read that Myrtle Bank won a double gold at SF Spirits and ordered a bottle. Myrtle Bank exceeded my expectations. Great value after all.

Myrtle Bank takes home a “Double Gold” at The San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) one of the world’s most prestigious spirits competitions. It’s noted both for the quality of its judges, many of whom are renowned experts in their fields, with decades of industry experience, and the scope of the different spirit categories that it judges.
Myrtle Bank received a “Double Gold” awarded to the entries that receive a Gold medal rating by all members of the judging panel, these are among the finest products in the world.

Myrtle Bank Rum set out to fill in the gaps left by major producers with niche releases and long-aged bottlings from Jamaica.

My sister and her husband loved the gift and said it’s a must have in your rum collection!!

There's so much flavor packed in this rum! When I add it to the mixing glass or shaker you can smell it from across the room. At 60abv, one needs to be careful!

Lovely on it's own, but shines in cocktails. Try making the Getaway Car or What the Dickens with this rum, you won't be disappointed!

Myrtle Bank is MAITA’I ROA AE! “Maita’i roa ae!”, which is Tahitian for “The very best!” or “Out of this world!

I made the original 1944 Trader Vic Mai Tai with Myrtle Bank 10YR and is my new favorite!

– 2 oz Myrtle Bank 10YR Jamaican rum

– 1 oz lime juice

– 1/2 oz orange Curaçao

– 1/4 oz orgeat syrup

– 1/4 oz 1:1 simple syrup

Shake all ingredients over ice, pour into a double old-fashioned glass. Fill to rim with crushed ice. Garnish with a spent lime shell (peel side up) and a sprig of mint
