This special bottling of Neisson is a single cask selected from rums aged in new American oak. In July 2013 new barrels were filled with Neisson rhum blanc, and in June 2018 one barrel was selected to be bottled for Ed Hamilton to import to the United States. The aromas of fruit, spice and hints of smoke combine to showcase the signature of Neisson aged rhums, but with a decidedly woodsy and vanilla forward profile from the new oak. Definitely a great Agricole to try on for those who generally live in the Bourbon world, with its flavor profile and big character from being bottled at a full proof of 50.8% abv.
