New Riff B&B Single Barrel Malted Rye Whiskey "Fruity Beauty"

Distilled on December 2, 2019 from a mash of 100% malted rye, barrel 23719 was aged for more than six years in the south facing side of New Riff's Newport C Warehouse. Bottled without chill filtration at 123.2 proof, this barrel is a fruity beauty. The nose opens with aromas of Hawaiian Punch and sweet mint with malted chocolate (think Whoppers), lime peel, burnt sugar, and rye spice underneath. The palate leads with cool mint and rye spice and evolves to a dazzling spiced orange-chocolate on the mid palate. The spiced orange and chocolate flavors carry through a lengthy finish with cinnamon, cardamom, and a hint of green herbs.
