Ocho Single Estate 2024 Mirandillas Plata Tequila
Ocho is the first tequila to designate both the year it was produced and the precise field from which the family grown agaves were sourced, pioneering the 'Estate Tequila' category. Each batch comes from a different field or rancho contributing distinctive characteristics of that place. Ocho was founded by Carlos Camarena, a 5th generation agave farmer and 3rd generation tequilero. In fact, it was his great-grandfather who was credited with bringing blue agave to the Highlands of Jalisco, an incredible feat for tequileros in Mexico. Carlos’ trade by nature is agronomy, so he knows the land better than anyone. His passion for family, the land and agave has allowed him to flourish into one of the most respected tequila makers in the world, making one of the few tequilas still made slowly in the old fashioned way. Tequila Ocho is a spirit which showcases that which should be a hallmark to tequila, the agave flavor.
Crisp, bright agave with lively citrus notes and fresh herbaceous notes including white pepper and minerality. Full and complex cooked agave notes, developing front-to-back with notes of fresh cut grass and a touch of earthiness.
