Old Potrero B&B Single Barrel 11 Year 2 Mo. Rye Whiskey "Dusky Delight"

Distilled from a mash of 100% malted rye on Pier 50 in San Francisco in the spring of 2015, barrel OP2-15/3 was aged for 11 years and 2 months before bottling without chill filtration at 139.46 proof (!!). The nose offers rich scents of root beer, rye spice, cocoa, toasted oak, and toffee. The robust palate begins with flavors of root beer and sweet toasted oak with dark berries, toffee, mocha and baking spice flavors rounding out a deep and delightful sip. The looooooooong finish sways between baking spices, toffee, espresso, and dark chocolate. With the future uncertain for Old Potrero, this barrel is the perfect way to experience and remember one of our favorite distilleries and whiskies.
