The Dorado expression from Padro explores gentian, one of vermouth's main herbs, containing one of the bitterest substances in the worlds. Here the pleasures of bitterness are wrapped in a bold vermouth that has been balanced with just a touch of sweetness. The base wine is made from Macabeo, which allows the wine to be aged and is organoleptically very neutral – and therefore doesn't interfere with the exceptionally bitter herbs. Fresh resiny flavors from the gentian, with additional notes of dry spice, subtle fruit, alpine, wild, and dry woodland herbs. Aged 10-12 months in barrel before bottling.
